OK most people on here have murdered plenty of shocks so I want some opinions.
This is for my 3/4 travelall on 35X12.5R16.5 SS Truxus MTs. This is basicly a DD and I have to put some shocks on it before my road trip to Texas in August.
I'll have the suspension done next week so I'll have my travel #s done. I'm making all new mounts so I can fudge the numbers a bit. My budget is about $200 for all 4.
This is what I'm looking at now:
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=351383
for around $200 if I can fit them
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=290877
$120 for all 4.

$120 for all 4.
Any other ideas? Not rockcrawling by any means but I figure the 3/4ton and heavy ass (for a street rig, 10plys) will beat up regular shocks. These have to last me about 5K miles or so.

Go with the $200 Bilsteins.

The Rancho 9000s are about $270 for all 4 with the buy 3 get one free.
This puts them a bit out of my price range for now.
What about the Ranch RSXs? They are self adjusting for $55 each so $150 for 4 with the buy 3 get one free deal.

Any opinions on Skyjackers? They are cheap like the Heckethorns, but not as cheap as POS ProCraps.

I will never buy Rancho products again...just my opinion and decision.
How heavy is your rig OS?
I was thinking of dropping the coin on the "bilstein copies" since they are long travel...

Yeah I was going to ask the "GMC Bolt-on Nation" about what works with the same roughly combo on a Suburban but...
I dont know I just felt I'd get a better answer (or at least witty replys) here.
In the long run the shock has to last me 1K miles here in NV, the road trip to Sheppard AFB(1.6K) the BS driving there for 10 months and the trip back. So about 5K miles total. I'd buy Pro Craps but they wouldnt get me to Texas :flipoff2: . Let me just say how much I hater ProComp...a lot.
I'm really leaning tward the Rancho RSX self adjusting or the Blingstiens listed here if I can fit them.
The damn impact hammer punctured my left middle finger today and broke my finger tip so my typoing sux more than usual. Mr. Beam is helping too.
