I was wondering if anyone is using or has considered trail readys 16.5 beadlocks????
Are there any other companies who make 16.5 bead locks???
besides hummer wheels???

i am also considering going this route. When i added the cost of the hummer rims, beadlock inserts, and wheel spacers it came to about what a seat of beadlock wheels would be. I'm not sure which solution I prefer. I like that the hummer locks both beads, the trailready wheels i think look a lot better and i can get a better backspacing. I'm interested to hear what people say.

Yeah, Gabe from Aggressive Offroad makes em. (Username BigFeck I believe). I bought a set a while back but yet to put them on. Still trying to save up for the tires:(! The 16.5"s they make, he also welds on an inner safety bead as well. TR's does not have that for the 16.5"s, but it's probably not big of a deal. Also, it uses 40bolts on the ring!!! Weighs about ~40 to 43lbs or so each (forgot), with the ring and bolts/nuts/washers.
Don't remember the price though  but it was right around where TR's price is for their 16.5"s. You can't go wrong with either one though. Both are high quality stuff.

I made a set for my 16.5's and can make another for you if you want to buy a set. Weld on - very good price - excellent quality

I've got the TR 16.5'....Bitchin' combo with the ring. I've yet to mount them on my truck though...I'm pickin' up my 42's tommorrow though! YEA HAW!

Nobody at the time I bought them had any option for the 16.5...40 bolts' really appeals to me but the boy's at TR have had no reported problems with 22(?) bolts...Not only that, but it makes the toruqe process a lot easier

I have heard from a few places that there is going to be a 'hummer' style aluminum wheel coming out with a rubber inner ring that locks both beads. Also they are going to be in regular backspacing (3.5ish) and bolt patterns ( 8 on 6.5 and 5 on 5.5 ).

I don't think they will be cheap though

I have heard that Avalanche Engeneering makes a killer set of beadlocks and they have an option of an inner lock ring, i think.:usa:

My set of 16.5's with internal safety bead should be done this weekend. My new 38.5 SX's are sitting in the garage waiting. Hammers next week. Damn, life is good.

Yup, we've got 16.5 steel beadlocks, either as whole wheels or DIY kits.

I believe the Trail Ready and the Avalanch are the same thing...if you look at the rings on the avalanche they have the little TR cut in them...I am prolly going to do the Avalanche one...although I did call Agressive offroad ready to buy and they couldn't tell me shit...I asked how much...response "I dont know...uh somewhere around the $250 range"...then I asked how long it would take to get them out once I ordered them...response..."gee I dont know that either, I couldn't tell you" ...I was ready to buy and I have followed them since H8 first got them but with service like that...I think I will have to pass and go for one of the others that had good customer service and were able to answer ALL my question...oh well

I'm not sure about the inner bead but as far as backspacing goes...whatever you want at no additional charge...
