I am sitting at about 4-4.5” on my 97XJ 4 door with a 8.25 in it now and I am going to put a 8.8 in the rear. I am running the stock drive shaft and was wondering if any one knew if I would run into any problems with the drive shaft hitting the transfer case?? I hear the 8.8 will push the drive shaft forward some. I will be going to s SYE eventually but want to be safe in the mean time.
TIA

I ran 6.5" of lift on my XJ with an 8.8" and NP231 case. I used a stock TJ yoke on the t-case end, but machined the slip longer on the lathe. I used my totally stock driveshaft with a Spicer yoke to bolt to the 8.8 flange. I had no vibrations or binding at any level of articulation and at any speed. All you need is the higher angle yoke off a YJ ot TJ.
