Best bet would be to bend up some 1/4" round stock and weld it to the edge of the fenders, or whats left of em.

Get some of that black plastic trimming stuff from the hardware store, bout 1/2" or so, and go around the edge.

I just left enuf of the metal to use vice grips and bend it under to make a lip-like design. there are prob better ways to make the lip than with a vice grip, but who the hell cares

I left mine.. I cut them about a year ago, and they are to this day, still cut sharp.. I ordered some of that plastic trim junk from JC whitney to make it look a bit sharper, but never got it, and its still on backorder, so I said screw it..

Leave it. If you ever mannage to kiss your fender with a tire it will just help you sip em a little. More void in your tread means better grip lol.....

I ground the sharp edge down with a grinder and old wheel that became smooth. It is still a little sharp, but we all need a method to cut limes for the margaritas at the campsite!

Mine's from a Scout, but..

I cut short of my desired line.

Then I "flanged" the cut edge - by using tin-snips and running a slit from the cut part to the "bend line".

I cut a slit every inch or so.

Then used Linesman pliers (Vice Grips would work!) to fold the edge over 90-deg.

More would be better, but I wanted to paint the back side first.

I then welded the slits back together, ground 'em down, painted.

I want to fold them back more into a "V" but haven't yet.

The other suggestion I was given was to cut 3/8" fuel line down one edge and slide that onto the cut metal.

Folding and welding will make the fender stronger though - I was trying to avoid my front fenders flapping in the wind..

just leave them and hit them with a file or the grinder so they arent sharp to the touch

You guys will appreciate this..... I folded my edges over with vice grips and when I could not get them to fold all the way to the fender, I..(instead of using nuematic sheetmetal crimpers), used a BFH and beat those fawkers flat against the fender.
