Dog, If I may make a suggestion, do with it what you want. I for one would plate the outside of the frame as well, this would keep it from crushing the frame and loosening the gear box...
2cents worth...

I agree with Jeff on the additional plate.
Looking good!

You put spacers inside of the frame right? This will stop the frame from being crushed...
Looks good!!!
How did you put the 4th lower bolt in???

i just put crush tubes inside my chassis and for over a year have had no problems...
engineer approved too
a mte is running a similar setup for over 8 years
so i think the inner plate as well as the crush tubes will have no problems!!
looks really nice, prefer the 60 series conversion for neatness, and fitting a winch in that section of the chassis, BUT you cant knock the fact that it is sooo much nicer to drive with than 40 series steering ;)

Yeah thanks for the input guys. I've done about 25 of these conversions over the years, and including the 12 years or so of hard rock crawling I've put on my own cruiser with zero problems, I've also got a couple dozen or so cruisers running around on my conversions as far east as New York, with never a single failure.
