im overhauling a 64 fj40 and im putting a detroit in the front axle, some websites say i have to put some updated parts in with my locker because of the age of my axle. anybody out there know what those parts are?


o yea,, im thinking about puting a powertrax in the rear, has anybody had any luck with these?

not sure if it makes a difference but i have drums all the way around(unforutatly)

you still have the ball and claw axles in the front. You need to swap them out for birfileds or longfields to get any use out of the front without breaking it.
Front disk swap would be good too.
