I pulled the knuckles off my front axle today to right a wrong that I ran with for the Moab trip and I was wondering.... How much grease do I really need in these knuckles (as it's plopping onto the shop floor)?
Anyone have some input? The Double Tough birf has plenty of grease inside of it. But what about around it? Do I really need this much, if any?:confused:

Large amount of grease to catch/absorb/stop the nasties from getting to the important bierfield grease????

If it's full of grease, it'll act as a "crap seal", keeping the stuff out of the bierfield.
