ok I have jsut spen the last hour searching archive and coulnd't find what Iam looking for.

I put a dana 300 in my 94 YJ and put an index ring on it so it is almost flat. it still fits on a flat skid plate so it is clocked enough.

my question is I want to buy twin sticks for it instead ofmessing with just one stick. has anyone else put twin sticks in a YJ with a clocked dana 300? I know lots have done it but I am interested in how they were bent. I have heard of people bending them over the tranny and out the stock location but I think that would be too much trouble and not worth it. will the twin stick kit work in my yj with out modification, and if it does how much modification.

pics would be greatly appriciated.

specs on jeep in case you need them: 94 YJ with swapped 98 4.0, 90 ax15, 85 dana 300, 88 wagoneer dana 44 rear, 78 cherokee dana 44 front. I think that should be enough of the drivetrain

all you have to do is heat the sticks and bend them to come out the stock location, not hard at all, did you put all that stuff in your YJ? If so then bending some shift sticks should be cake

piece of cake probably but I still like to go in there knowing what I am supposed to be doing.

do you happen to have any pics of this or seen it first hand or have you just heard about it like I have?

thanks for the comment though

I have a 94 YJ with a 4.0/999/300. I have my case clocked up with the ring also. I have the currie twin stick shifter. I used the stock floor plate and cut a hole for the new sticks. No bending. THen the stock hole for the t-case shifter I had a buddy bend me up a little box that fills that hole. Now I have a little holder on the floorboard. Works nice.

please tell me you have some pictures of that.

so let me get this straigh. you didn't have to bend the curriw shifters at all. but you have an automatice so you don'thave the problem with the tranny shifter.

I dont have any available but can squeeze a few digi pics of that setup. With the manual tranny you may have to bend some but not a ton. Watch those shifters at the sharp bend. I have seen them break there also when people trying to bend them, with or without heat.

I would first install everything and then go from there. The currie twin stick setups are adjustable also so you can move the levers forward or back a little. You may not need to bend at all.

i didnt even heat my currie twin sticks, i just stuck them in a vice and pulled on them till they were the shape i wanted after test fitting a few times. i didnt like how tall they were so then i chopped a few inches off the top and put my own variety of shifter nobs on them using jb weld.

That works too, as long as your shifters dont end up looking like your Avatar! :flipoff2:

I got mine from www.novak-adapt.com but advanced adapters go 2 engineering and some others have them too.

for the price I like the quality of the one from novak.

I have thought about this swap myself. Did you or are you going to upgrade the d300 output shaft? What about you Rockslut? Also Rockslut, did you install the auto or did it com with it?

I think I want to pull my AX15 and install a 999. I have install a jb hd sye in my 231 and I just bought a waggy d44 front, but I could still change all of this.
