What engines will a 727 out of a Cherokee bolt to. I know the obvious answers of the 304, 360, and 401 :flipoff2:

I was just curious if the 727 bell hsg had the same bolt pattern for any other big blocks out there.....I may end up with one, and I would like to know if I will be able to mount it to any BB engines w/o having to buy an adapter.

it bolts to the 4.0 and 4.2 also. The bolt pattern is AMC not Mopar. Big round pattern.

thats wat I thought, I had a far reaching hope that there might be a chance they would connect to something like a 440 too, but knew it was a long shot...

You can put the SJ 727 tailhousing and output shaft in a Chryco 727, if thats your end goal

Are you looking to buy a nasty little 727 from a 440?
