I have the Warn FF for my Dana 44. I am just running the premium hub lockouts. I am having a problem with the drivers side one that keeps coming unlocked. Even with that set screw in there. I was playing with it today and even with it in the locked position its really not locked in. I jack the rear end up and that one tire just spins freely. Its not a lot of fun to drive when that thing comes unlocked with a detroit back there. I put a new hub set in there and it worked for one wheeling trip and then it won't stay locked in again. Its a real pain in the ass. Looks like I am going to have buy the drive flanges. I liked the hubs back there cause I flat tow it half the time, so it makes it easy. Has anyone else ever had this problem with the hubs coming unlocked? If so do you know what the problem is and what did you do to fix it?

just don't think they are meant for continous use..

I wore out my premiums when I had the FF kit in my 44 and put in lockout plates..

I would not use warn hubs for the rear, the one I killed was crap - but then again I don't know if other brands are better..

I have the 1 ton kit in a 9" rear, awesome..6 years now..with 44's, and a BigBlock..

Anyway, I had to put spacers in my hubs, kept disengaging.. No biggie:D

What do you need hubs on the rear for? If you are flat towing, then sure they make sense, but if not just throw some lockouts or slugs on the back and go for it

I just ordered the drive flanges, so I won't have to worry about the hubs anymore. It sure made it nice for flat towing, but I guess I will hve to go back to pulling the DS

I have the D44 kit for the TJ. When I got it- I was bummed. It seems like the hub casting is prety light. I have more metal in a hubcap than that thing. It's bagged on a shelf in my garadge, never put it on and couldn't return it. Built my own FF.

I run the plates. I bought it used and never installed the hubs mainly because I did not like how far they stuck out.

Save the wear and tear on your tcase and pull the drive shaft.
