Going to paint a suburban red desert with rattle can. I searched and got most of my answers but still have a few questions.

1. Having a hard time finding the right colours. Ace, Walmart, etc. only carry the woodland colors.
http://www.olive-drab.com/od_mvg_camo_tc5-200.php list the colours as

Earth red 45%
Earth yellow 45%
Sand 5%
Black 5%
Any substitues for Earth red and Earth yellow?

These colors are pretty close to what I am looking for.

The desert camo in this thread by Thuren is close to the colors also. Any idea what colors those are?

2. How much cans do you think I will need?

This thread was very helpful
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=249432&highlight=painting+rattle+cans but suggest primering it first.

This write up was good too
http://www.off-road.com/jeep/tech/cheap_paint/ he says primering is not necessary.

3. Do I need a primer coat? The whole burb is almond color and was just going to sand and paint, but will it last? Or how long should it last?

When the Jeep is a mess of dents and the paint is flaking off....

Pink camo  my wife wanted that, but I passed. There is actually a honda that is pink camo around here doensn't look bad. There are quite a few hondas and trucks that are woodland camo too. Thats the reason for the red desert.
