So I scored a set of 1/2 ton Chev diffs and would like to put them under my sj413 flat deck. I am going to extend the rear out close to 6". Now I have noticed that the pumpkin on the rear diff is centered and my stockers are offset. Does anyone have a solution other than replacing the whole drive train? I would like to keep the 1.3L and just do the gearing. Weight is my number one goal and thats to keep it below the oil pan. Right now my truck weighs 1700lbs and climbs up some crazy sh1t with stock gearing. Anyone ever used these diffs before??

The rears have a disc brake conversion done to them.
I live in a condo so I dont have access to a shop to do the measurements just yet, I was wondering if someone may have used them already.

many people swap Toy axles in with centered rear diffs - most have very few problems.

a few of the TX guys are running fullsize axles, mainly the 3/4 ton stuff. i don't remember how the pass side perch is on the front 10b but that might be your only real snag. the only other thing is going to be the driveshaft issue. don't know if they use the same ujoints as the D44, but there's a D44 to toyota conversion joint that will allow you to use the often-used toyota shafts (you'll have to use rat adapters to adapt to the suzuki flanges on the t-case).

Beautiful, thanks alot guys. I wasnt sure if I was getting in over my head or if it was do-able. Do you know what size tires those suckers can handle, being reliable? I was thinking 35's would do fine. I was gonna weld the rear and do a ARB up front.

I just installed a 10 Bolt in front and 12 Bolt in rear, pretty straight forward. You will need a bigger master cylinder for brakes. Toy driveshafts is the easiest swap as they run 1310 ujoints same as the 1/2 ton chevy schtuff.
I plan on running 37's in the near future.

I run a front 10 blt with 4.88's and a detroit ez on a much heavier rig (4500lbs.) with 36" tires and haven't had any non-stupidity related breakage :D . With your weight and "massive zuki horsepower :shaking: " you could easily run 37's and probably get away with some narrow 38.5's.
ps. 10 blts knuckle out are interchangeable with d44's, good to know if you ever snap a stub or grenade a hub

I'm running a 12 bolt rear and everything is fine. just mated the samurai driveshaft to the 12 bolt driveshaft and it is off center a little but no vibrations for a trail only rig.

As above NineInches is running centered 12 bolt, with 37" Claws and no problems:
