Hey Guys-
First off I am not really a rover guy- as in I do not own one, I actually have a Landcruiser fj45 wagon, but I am a huge fan of the Forward controls and 110's. I have as of yet only seen one, in Hawaii no less. Does anyone know how it got here, is anyone importing them? Did they manufacture them more than 25 years ago? If so general prices?
Cheers all,
Edwin

You saw a 110 or 101 in Hawai'i?
I know of 2 110's on Oahu. Need to wait until 2009 for the first of the 110's to be old enough to legally import.
As to the 101's...
Steve bought his 101 from someone on the mainland about 3 years ago and shipped it over. He also has a 109 and RRC.
Yes they can be found older then 25 years. Since the majority of them were built under military contract there are not a whole bunch of them.
Don't see them come up for sale all that often in the States. Basically someone found one they wanted and shipped it over. Sometimes these are folks doing resale, sometime just for personal use.
If you are really interested pick up one of the Rover magazines and look through the adds. There are a number of companies in the UK that specialize in ex-MoD equipment.

I saw both- I saw a FC101 AND a 110, but not a white 110 with exterior roll cage (NAS I believe). It was a really cool green with blue and white stripe. There is another one of the 110 with that paint job that actually lives right around the corner-unfortunately it's just some rich guy who I don't think really know what he has, this I gathered because I tried to talk to him about it and showed him my landcruiser ( rare orange fj45 wagon-4 dr jeep style cruiser wagon) and he was not interested at all, not about his own rig or mine. How can you have something that cool and not want to talk about it?
PS Does anyone know GORDON PERROTT- if not this is the greatest mechanic I know and does nothing but rovers. He even got his 65 yr old mom to drive a ltwt 88 as a daily driver, he is up in Seattle and is top notch!!
Cheers

Gord'n (yes thats actually how it's spelled) is a great person.
His 107 PU is his dad's old truck.
He was the driving force behind the PCRC for a number of years.
