Z24 needed

I am trying to help my brother with his truck, he has a 1986 1/2 Nissan PU that has a Z24 engine in it and we have been looking for a good used engine to swap out. Any ideas of places that have low prices. We live in the eastern US. We also saw a rebuild kit for $220.00 anyone have experience rebuilding the Z24, good idea or not? I am very mechanical and have rebuilt engines before. So any advise would be helpful and appreciated.

I rebuilt one of my 85 motors a few years ago. Sorry no pix. Buts its very easy. I have only rebuilt Nissan motors. I would use all Nissan parts if possible. Haynes Manuals cover the stes quite well. And a machine shop can take care of the Head.
