jsut curious if anyone is using these?

i need to do a small amout of work involving very small pieces and wondered if they would be up to the task?

I have the little 12speed mill/drill (the red $400 one) and it does alright for cutting aluminum and plastic. Its not super precise but its not made to be. I also have the lil 7x10 lathe and it works good on steel, Al, and plastic. You could have a *decent* setup with the 2 of those for little stuff.

I haven't seen the HF lathes and mills, but my friend has a Grizzly lathe and mill combo in his shop and he has been very pleased with it.

If I remember right he originally looked at both HF and Grizzly and found the Grizzly stuff to be better and about the same price. He bought it a while ago though so I don't remember for sure.
