My Samurai passed smog with a Thorley header two years ago...

I recently moved Ceres CA. and the smog guys here are clueless!
They act like they have never seen a header before.
I have the sticker from Thorley with the E.O. #
This guy says he never heard of an E.O. #
I say "it means Executive Order Number"
"Its issued by the APCD."
He says "who?"
I lost it! :mad:I can never go back there again.
Not that I would.
Now in search of a smog guy with a brain.
So I go to a different smog shop.....
He says that the number thing is no problem.
BUT.... that heat collector will never pass....
Arrhg!!!!!
He claims it is angled down too far "heat rises you know"
I am heating up a bit myself.
"I will be removing that piece of crap as soon as I get my cert. anyway!" ComeON!!!!!!:mad2: :mad3: :nuke:

Same as you, EO is okay, but the riser was not... He didn't notice it was bolted to a 1.6, so I didn't mind too much....

Here (El Paso, Texas) they didn't mind the 1.6 being under the hood. They asked the make - Suzuki, then they asked the size - I said 1.6 - He plugged it into the computer and gave me one of the cleanest smog check reports I had seen in years. Go figure...

In Colorado, it depends on what county you live in. No smog tests in my county. I have the 1.6 16 valve, so the only header available is a Calmini - they work great, and I've already got one on my 4-door Sidekick, and will probably be installing the header on my 2-door Sidekick at EJS, on the trail.
