i am on my honeymoon right now so i didn't have time to sit and wade thru searches.
anyway, my brother had my 95 discco and was out wheeling and the fuel pump died again. i need a new one and don't want to have to find oem. i had an after market pep boys mazda pump in it and it has only lasted six months.
can any of you guys shed some light in the form of a part number i could get at the local checker?
thanks in advance.

I would check into the Airtex part #E3240 which is also sold under the Master Brand. I ran into problems with incorrect deadhead and running presures with other generic pumps resulting in slow starts and poor running.
This one matches, I know because I called the techs up and rattled their brains. I have one installed and working great. The truck runs better than with the genuine pump.
Enjoy your honeymoon!

are you're tired of making the wheel round? You might find that PRC8318 (http://www.landroverparts.us/LandRoverDiscovery/disco_cat_pages/disco1cat.pdf) works pretty well :shaking: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

So what is the actual technical specs of the stock pump? I'm working on replacing the stock inside one with an outside one.
Thanks.

I think deadhead is 37PSI and running and running is 75PSI... Someone correct me.

Might be pump pressure, but you'll never find it that high in the real world in a Rover.
The injectors max flow is about 175 ml/min/ea. You'll need a minimum pressure of about 35 psi.
