First time on. I don't know jack about the rules. Some scumbag took my truck. Can anybody offer any ideas on where it might be? It is a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 Diesel stick standard cab with a Harbor service body. It was there this morning (Monday June 6,2005) at about 5:30 am and was gone by 8:15 AM. It was taken from the parking lot of my apartment at 7750 Stalmer St. in the Linda Vista area of San Diego. Arizona rear plate: 080PZM. I reported it stolen to San Diego Police Dept at 2:00 pm today, just after I discovered it missing. It was locked and I still have the keys. No broken glass. Nobody in my building seems to have heard or seen anything. At dinner this evening, I met a cop who checked on it and says it has not been seen crossing the boarder to Mexico. I guess they video everything. I have registered it with Stolen car reports.com. What else should I be doing?

Can I reply to myself? The thing is WHITE. The hubcaps are missing. One front mudflap is missing. Otherwise it is in cherry condition. It had a full tank of diesel. Would somebody chop it up for parts and who would buy them? What else do you want to know?

Thanks Coyote. She is an Arizona truck and I'm an Arizona Man. Those Harbor boxes on the back are a dead giveaway. I've never seen another one like it. Maybe these maggots will try to get across the Colorado. I wonder if immigration takes pics or runs plates from their checkpoints. Thanks for the support

Call, call, call. Make sure the put an APB out. Thy typically won't do it unless some is in the truck and missing, but keep asking. Sorry to hear of your loss. Good luck. Hope your insurance can cover it because that's what it's for.
Did'nt you have my Rolex in the front seat?

Yes Roundeye. Sorry about the Rolex but I'll be glad to replace it if you find my truck- that is if it is worth about $2500. I paid $10,000 for the truck (a steal) but try finding one on Autotrader.com. They are like hens teeth out there. I've found another Ram and I'm trying to get my life back on track but it's going to take time. It's a bad dream that won't go away. Don't ask me again about the insurance, my answer makes me want to puke. Most people I take to assure me the truck is in Mexico-probably in the hands of the Federales or one of their family members. I'm thinking of hiring somebody to try and find it. That would be a valuable service if they were on the up and up. I immagine using e-mail you could get a picture and description out to a lot of people in a hurry. And if there was a reward, somebody might be tempted to call a hotline. Does anybody know of such a service?

Having the truck stolen from a major drug trafficing hub (San Diego= international border, international airport and shipping yard + close to the desert which translates to large amounts of meth labs), the thieves have probly stolen a front license plate off another dodge pickup, "cold plated" your truck and are currently hauling dope across the state. Once they're done with it they'll probly dump it God knows where...... Good chance of recovery tho, it's gonna be difficult for the thieves to get it across the border (hopefuly).... Good luck.
