Anybody know if the tranny cooler lines that connect to the tranny cooler are a standard fitting? I am going to replace the tranny cooler while I'm R&Ring the radiator and installing a PS Cooler. Trying to figure out the easiest way to splice the lines. Was thinking about just cutting the metal lines, pushing the new flexible lines over those and hose clamping it. Just not sure if it will leak?

that should work. may want to flarre the ends to maybe give it a ring of sortto grip on. I think the early RR's are done this way. I'm fairly certain on my '88 RR the lines are just slid over the metal lines comming from the tranny w/ threaded fittings going to the early style porcupine coolers. I do believe there is a fair amount of pressure on these lines maybe ~35PSI. someone else may can confirm this.

You can do this Larry. An d hose clamps or odiker clamps will hold the pressure. I recomend Gates multipurpose hose.

I got a D90 for Mark if he wants to call me. lotsa $ though.

The plumbing depends upon the year. Earlier models used inverted flares, later models used metric bump fittings. Brake the lines and use compression fittings. The pressures can run fairly high, especially when the torque converter is locked.

I use Gates LOLA + for nearly everything. It's chemically compatible and has IIRC a 300 PSI MWP.
