When I did the rear I was surprised about having to shim the axle to get the pinion out of its level state. What I am wondering now is am I going to have the same problem with the front?

My setup is LCAH steering correction kit (SR), 2 1/2" lift springs, SUA.

Since the front springs are only 2 1/2" and not 4" like the rear I am hoping that it will still leave the pinion where I don't have to shim it, is this right?

When I did my front it really screwed the angle up. When I did it though I put longer shackles on (SR) so that probably contributed to most of it. I had to shim it because my front drops so much and I had a really bad angle when it was flexed.

did you just guess on how much to shim it or what? I too have a SR and mine is the old old one from LC4WD that looks like a big L sitcking out the front. I am going to do the spring flip anyway but just want to know what to expect when it comes to shimming it. right now my front pinion has just a slight upward tilt to it and the alignment shop said it was right on the stock caster so I would like it to stay as close to that as possible. I have been down the death wobble and wandering road and have eliminated most of it and don't care to go back to that. Not that I drive it around a lot but when I do I don't want to have to white knuckle it the whole time.

Hay did you ever find the shaft you needed for the rear of yours? I just got a bunch of spares and could sell you some if you need.

I just knew I needed alot of shim so I went with a 6 degree and it worked out good. Like I said though I think most of my pinion problem came from moving the shackle under the frame and not reversing my springs. You will have the opposite problem.

I got the shaft thanks anyway.

Hey you know if you want to wait, I plan on a 1 ton conversion by next fall. I have the 44/LC hybird front w/ disks rockstomper rod and both knuckles are flat, and rear w/ disks set up for spring over. Just letting you know incase you might be interested. That would set you up for your spring over and all and I could probably let you have all the stuff for alittle more then it would be for a spring over. Something to think about.:D sure you dont want to get rid of that hood for $15 bucks? That could buy a couple good lunches :flipoff2:
