I can't find the calender here on the site anymore. Does anyone know the dates Jeep Jamboree will be shutting the trail down this summer? Trying to plan a trip that is around the JJ time and want to make sure we pick good dates.

TIA!

For some reason I thought they shut it down for two entire weeks for preparation. Is it only the weekends?

I remember it being shut down too. This is all that is on their site.

Looking at Harald Pietschmann's site (www.rubicon-trail.com), there isn't a block either.

Best to figure that from 7/25 to 8/7 it is being used for the jambo's.

Is it really "worth it" to pay the 285 to 300 dollars to participate in the jeepers and jeep jamborees? thoughts?

My wife and I took part in the 50th Anniversery, and we had a great time. We typically wheel the Con about 10 times a year. The Jambos are great if all you want to worry about is having a good time. The piece of mind knowing that the Jambo crews will get you and your rig to camp and off the trail if needed is great. If someone is new to wheeling or a first timer on the Con I would recommend participating. Then all you've got to do is relax and enjoy the party at the springs. IMHO :D

We go on the smaller Jamboree every year and it is well worth it!
