All,

I need some opinions on something and I know you guys have lots of them so give me a hand. :D

I've found a 78 Dodge Power wagon. It's in decent shape....318 v8, D60 rear and D44 front. He is asking $1000. I was thinking that this might be a good candidate for an axle donor for my TJ. I'm not sure of the over all axle width and the front axle is a passenger side drop.

What do you guys think? Would this be more work than it's worth? What kind of problems am I going to run into beside the passenger side drop and welding on the new perches?

You keeping the TJ five link suspension and coils, or going to leaf springs?
If keeping the TJ suspension, it is plenty of work. You narrowing the axles?

If you need pricing on lockers, shafts, gears, whatever PM me and I can set you up with a discount.

Too much work. You'll want to get them narrowed, and you'd have to get the front re-tubed for driver's side drop.

Just go pick up some a waggy front with the left-hand drop, and a 63" wide D60 from a van.
