: European source for manual Tubing benders.

I am planning on building a full custom cage for my 1980 Bj40 Land cruiser.

I want to buy a bender similar to the jd2 or the pro-tools manual bender. Does anyone know a european source for that type of bender? All i can find over here are the very expensive hydraulic tube benders.

Thanks, Christof.

Thanks, Christof.

Make your own Hossfeld type bender.

You can sometimes use pulleys or wheels that are designed to run on a tube track as dies for the bender. You could also use dies for the hydraulic benders too.

Man, that's an interesting link, though I hope I won't ever have to build myself a wheelchair. I think we'd have to oversize the whole setup for bending cage tubes. Still have to find dies though...
I will have to study such a project in details...

Hi Diesel Cruiser

Here in The Netherlands there are several companies where you can rent tubing benders and stuff.
Don't know if you got those in Belgium, but maybe it's worth the hassle to rent one in The Netherlands, if you're not to far from the border of course.

good luck

Anyone ever tried to fabricate/use this type of homemade tube bender?? How did it work out?

Omdat ek is 'n Suide Afrikaaner, ek praat 'n bietjie Afrikaans. Afrikaans is sommer soos julle taal.

Hope that is legible. Haven't spoken that language in a while.

Dat lijkt heel goed op nederlands!

Very close to Dutch, I understand everything you are saying.
