ok a yesterday I asked about modifications that have to be done to the currie twin sticks if you are putting them in a YJ with a clocked dana 300. well I found the answer. I went and bought the twin sticks last night and installed them. they fit beautifully with NO MODIFICATIONS to the twin sticks

the currie twin sticks have different hole in them for adjustments. if you adjust them all the way out and install them they will come up right in front of the gear stick. almost looks stock if I could fix the carpet. the only thing I had to do was massage the floor a little on the passengar side to make room for the twin sticks. no biggie just put a floor jack and a piece of woods where I wanted it moved and lifted the jeep.

any way if you have a YJ and want to put twin sticks in it this was a simple way to do it. clock the dana 300 (I used the ring from novak-adapt.com) buy the currie twin sticks, adjust them all the way out (last holes) and move the floor! that simple. the stick come right in front of the gear stick. looks great too. don't forget you obvousely have to change the front diff too. but I was already doing that.

Man you still have CARPET in your junk!?!?! I would have thought with all the "engineering" you've done, it would be a memory (or at least charred beyond recognition).

Nice to see another Larryville inmate. Where abouts are you Rodney? I'm off Sugarloaf/Atkinson over near Discover Mill$.

No that was the back carpet that burned up.

I like the front carpet. it adds a nice "touch" to the finished product. make the jeep look clean too and adds a little (hehehe) sound deadning. I have hurculined the entire tube but that shit never stays clean.

i am using a front dana 44 out of a 1974 cherokee chief. it only costs me $75 and I don't think I can justify a dana 60 yet. I never broke the dana 30

guess I need bigger tires......

What is involved in swapping in a 300? Tell me everything. Exhaust mods, any adapters besides the clocking ring. What trans your running and why you did the 300. Do you know of anyone in the area selling a 300 cheap. I think I could sale my Heavy duty JB sye kit and transfer case and do this swap.

Bluesman I live right by the Mall of GA. Which is Buford. Use to live in the apartments behind Target in Lawrenceville of hwy 316.

I am using an ax15 tranny. exhaust has to be completely redone and moved to the drivers side, andthen cross back over to the passengar side ontop of the rear diff. You acutally don't have to use the clock ring I just used it to bring the tcase flat like the 231. if you don't use the clock ring you will have to modify the skid plate. you will need two new driveshafts. you will not need a SYE it has one built in.

most importantly you will need a new front diff. it puts the pumpkin on the passengar side whereas a YJ has it on the drivers side.

a guy in the club named Patrick has three of them, I am sure he would sell one of them.

he will be at the southern jeeps meeting this saturday at 1:00 if you want to stop by. I will have my wrangler there too so you can see it.

Where are you meeting and how will I know it is your jeep? I think I will try and come, do I have to be a member to come?

Tell me how to get there if you don't mind. I am guessing it is in Marietta. I will be coming from Buford. So I85 is where I will come from.

We meet at Southern Offroad Specialists in Alpharetta.

From where you are, take 20 across to 400. Get on 400 South to the MacFarland Exit. From the ramp go right. The shop is about 1/2 mile or so on the right, kind of down in a hole.
