: lift from f150 springs?

Tried the search but no luck.:(

Anyone know about how much lift (over stock springs) the f150 springs give? How do they impact wheelbase. We're talking about f150 rear springs all the way around on a fj40.

Can anyone who has done this swap talk about how they did it, what works & what they would try differently?

Thanks,
Chris

for lift i have no idea, here in the pic you can see kinda, lol, the front is lifted liek 1.5-2 inches do to our beefy front hanger mount an dlower shackle mount. the springs are 7 inches offset. as u see it it sits at 104!

Do you have any other pics of your rear bumper? I need to replace my rear crossmember? Did you weld box tube to yours or replace it with box tube.

Thanks.

When I did the Ford springs I got about 1.5" of lift over my stock springs SOA. It would have been more but I recessed the front shackle hangers and rear solid mounts into the frame. Judging from mine, if everything was mounted under the frame you would probably get about 2.5-3" of lift over stock springs. The major bonus is that the Ford springs flex awsome. I was able to back mine to the top of a 5 foot high ramp and not lift a tire. Of course, I'm on full width axles with the springs inboarded in the rear, so your results may vary:D .

Sounds like the hot ticket. I don't want to be too high either. Love to see pics, and hear more about how you did it. Specifically how you inboarded the rear and recessed.

Thanks,
Chris
