Anyone know if a CHEAP way to ballance a 258 flywheel to use it on a 360? Doin this for my brother's CJ5, runnning a T-18 with it, the old 232 jus isn't gettin it with the 34's If u even say "Buy a 360 flywheel", then:flipoff2: cause that's not an option. Externally balanced sucks!
call different machine shops and do some price comparison...
There's no "fill this hole with weld and drill out a 3/8 hole here" type of trick.

If I take my 258 fly wheel down to the machine shop and say balence this the same as a 360, are they going to know what the hell I am talking about?
Or do I need to tell or show them something else, I dont really understand the differences, never held a flywheel from a 258 and a flywheel from a 360 at the same time, so I doubt I could tell them what to do.
thanks

If you do they will need all your reciprocating engine parts. Bottom line there is no cheap way to do it. You could use the 258 one. it should last a couple months before the motors grenades, maybe. (maybe like it might make it that long, or maybe not) You can also buy one from us for $130. Unless you want to give more money to Four Wheel Drive Hardware. If you call us make sure to say you saw this price on the Pirate board. You can click on the sponsored by link in the upper left of this page.
