will a dana 60/ 14b combo bolt right into the scout front and rear. things i would like to know
will i need to grind the pumkin in order to put the spring perch on top?
would i still need a new steering system if i go with the full widths SOA i know i would need to extened the steering but what else will i run into?

the axles are coming out of a military 1ton and are a 60 front and 14 bolt rear. they have 4.56 gears a detroit in the 14b and limited slip in the front. i havent seen the axles so maybe someone knows if the pumpkin is even on the right side. (passengers for a scout.)

Lots of info on this if you search. Yes the pumpkin is pass side diff. These axles are already spring over so you shouldn't have to grind on the pumpkin. I believe people have made these axles work with out much trouble. Chevy used wider springs, but the width of the perches is close enough that using the scout springs is close to a bolt up deal. I'm doing the same type of swap but using chevy springs so I'm fabbing up the hangers ect. to use 44044's. Like I said search alittle and you should find lots of info.

if you put in the dana 60 nothing is going to be a "bolt-in" its wider bigger, springs are wider, and longer, steering, fender clearence, drive shafts, shocks, brake lines, high rise steering...

Do a search for soa and hy steer and you should find everything you need. Its not completely bolt on like already said but that combo is a pretty easy set up.
Good luck
