Have a '92 f150. Only has like a 19 gal. tank (have NO idea why ford thought that was sufficient for a 351 4wd).

Would like to stay DOT and CA smog legal, so no fuel cells. Thinking something like 30gal or more would be nice. Aftermarkets are avail, but cost like $600+ (ouch).

Any ideas? Maybe similar year full size Bronco fit and are they any bigger??

yup go get a 32 gallon from a Bronco, the onlt you need to do then is move your spare tire somewhere else

Or you can add the second tank. Hit the yards and get the stock second tank, wires, and switch. Then you can keep your spare under the back.

Cool. Thanks guys. Think I'll see if I can opt for the bronco tank. Not worried about keeping the spare there and won't have to mess with hooking up a second tank.

I just did this to my 1991 F-250. One of the previous 5 owners of the truck pulled the rear tank for some reason  I bought a used '91 Bronco tank and fuel pump and installed it without much of a problem. I used universal tank straps to secure it in place. I now have 51 gallons of capacity (19 gal + 32 gal) :flipoff2:
