i need some longer springs, for my cj7.
ones that have lots of flex, and will move the rear axle backward about 5 - 7 in.
anybody know of a doner truck? as in model and make...year?

working with about 4in lift, i just need to move the axle do to drive shaft angles, but it would help to also have more axle travel. as in up and down.

have read some postings about using waggy springs, and chevy truck springs what are the good and bad.

the wagoneer springs are about 2-1/2" longer and a chevy 52" (73-87 4wd) is 8" longer...you also have the chevy 56" and the chevy 64"...5-7" is a pretty sizeable difference so i'd just pick out whatever spring has the length you're looking for and punch the center holes whatever distance you're looking to move the axle back....some peeps do go with the chevy springs on jeeps but i'm not a big fan of it just because of the dutched (berlin) eyes which are not made for offroading...much better to have support and not have all stress on one spot of the mains....if you want specific dims they're all on my site... http://leafspringstacks.generalspringkc.com/

Rear leafs from an XJ will move your axle back about 6"

x2 for xj springs. and the amount of lift is about the same. ie. 4" xj = 3.5 to 4" cj
