Here's some info. on the truck:
1988 V6 3.0 Runner automatic
AP 5" lift rear springs with Johnny Joints
35's & a welded rear with 5.29's
The Noise: it sounds like a bearing going bad in the tranny (not the dif I ready have checked that). When going 55 - 60mph it doesn't make any noise UNTIL I get off the gas pedal and then it makes this aweful sound like something is trying to catch up with the driveshaft. BUT, when I have a load and drive 55-60mph and get off the gas the sound disappears  Could it be my driveshaft? would it have to be lengthen? I checked the slip yoke and when marked and pulled apart I have about 2 inches of travel before I start to see the splines. I'm stumped ...
Anyone have any idea or clues?
