I know it's not "extreme" but humor me. This what my buddy posted on another site concerning his problem.

I have a 98 ford explorer sport and just yesterday saw a light on the instrument panel that does not appear in the manual. Of the 3 panels its on the righthand panel at the bottom left of the panel. it came on briefly then went away. It looks like a gas pump, and was yellow/orange color. There were what looked like water drops beside the pump. Since I know this is not the low fuel indicator (had a full tank), I'm really curious to find out what it really is for.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks...

That was telling you you're low on blinker fluid.

Check out http://www.kalecoauto.com for premium fluids.

I guess Ford finally stepped up to the plate and put a sensor in for that, huh?

it might be an indicator thats used on export models. They sometime have wierd things we don't get here...

I never noticed such a light on my '98 Explorer. I think you might have a better chance at getting an answer over here: www.explorerforum.com

Sounds like it could be water in the fuel warning/indicator? Like paul said go over to www.explorerforum.com and he can get all the info he needs.
