$767 at Sams Club. Most of the compressors I've looked at with comparable specs have been $300-$400 more. And most were brands that I've never heard of. Anyways, if your lookin for a compressor check out Sams club. :D

Interesting. My 5hp Quincy puts out 17.2 cfm @ 175 psi. I guess that is what the extra $300 bought me.

what do you need 175PSI air for?
My plasma says no more than 90psi at the input... All my air tools say 90PSI... I actually dont know anything that needs more than 90 psi... Dont flame me, just let me know .. thanks

For some things it's not the PSI, but the volume of air.
I have a sand blast cabinet that I was trying to drive with my old Crapsman single stage 5hp 25gal. It could never keep up. I think it maxed out at 150psi, but didn't have crap for CFM. I sold it and never replaced it with anything appropriate. All I have now is a little twin tank for air nailers, so the sand blaster has been sitting for way too long.
Someday I'll step up to a big two stage with a nice CFM rating. I'm not sure that Delta would be enough or not. I had seen that one and was considering it too.

Yep, I keep the regulator set a lot lower than 175psi but there is the extra volume of air available. Just like with your gas cylinders for welding. You aren't using 2000psi, but that basically allows them to pack more into the cylinder.

An 80 gal tank at 175psi holds more air than if it was at 125psi. Assuming a linear volume/pressure relationship, its like having a 112 gal tank @ 125psi.
There ya go! That's the one I was talking about here:

Appears to be the same as the Porter Cable and Sears units. And I've also seen the same model badged as something else in my Toolweb catalog at home.
