i quit my 76 hour a week on graveyard POS job this week. im taking a month off to dirt bike/camp/fish/wheel with my family since i havent seen them in af ew months...

so i worked on the rear housing upper link truss, installed the marlin hysteer on my front axle, the bolts for the passenger side at the third(no room for a Ubolt), front shock mounts, addressed a bunch of sheered bolts on my beadlocks... i was going to go to hollister tomorrow, but it started raining?? :confused:

i ordered custom length tierod/draglink from cj at marlins and it was here 2 days after i gave him the measurements--they kick ass!

i over torqued the bolts on my beadlocks and have been stranded twice when they sheer off and let all the air out...im so parenoid ive got a bag of 20 grade 8 bolts/nuts in the glovebox..........

my front caster is off a couple degrees on the new housing so i need a couple of degree shims from roger brown....(death wobble is back).

i need to order the rear disc setup from sky mfc(on sale this month) and a bunch of tabs to mount the rear link/springs from blue torch and some new shackles for the 1/4 eliptical junk..........

I did the same thing my instructions said 30lbs and I started snapping bolts so I called them and they said oh sorry you got the old instructions you should torque them at 15lbs and I have not had a problem ever since, two years later and three different pairs of tires.

yeah, i had them at like 30-35 lbs, and now theyre all back at about 20. like 3/4 would sheer of at highway speeds and a rush of air exiting the front tire would scare the :nuke: outta me...

i tired something different this time for the upper truss, theres a notched chunk of 2x4x.250 wall in the middle with a wedge built up in the front which you cant really see in the pix all the welds are 3 passes....

it sits on a different plane then the tube does on the axle housing(at the welds) so hopefully nothing will :nuke:

it replaced this which was actually developed a hairline crak on the center tube after pulling a dead fj55(heavy) off the trail(3-4 miles)
