Newbie here,
My question is where to leave truck/trailer on the Loon Lake side.
We are planning a trip for 7/8-7/10 and are trailering one of our rigs.
Is there anywhere SAFE to leave truck/trailer on Ice House road near I-50 so we don't have to drive all the way back in to retrieve it.
Thanks

what do you mean by drive all the way back in???? just leave it at the entrance to the trail. or are you doing the whole trail and drive the trail rig around and back down 50? if so then id say ice house resort is the best bet closest to 50. jiMMy

There is a flat area across the road from ice house road at hwy 50( by the stream). Does anybody know if a tow rig is as safe there as it would be farther up ice house road? Locals should be familiar with the vandalism rate there. TIA, Steve

Thanks for the reply,
We are doing the whole trail and will be driving back down I-50 with all trail rigs and we are trying to avoid the 30 mile trek back to the trail head to retrieve the truck/trailer. Does Ice House Resort charge to leave tow rigs? Do they sell gas? Where do we get the fire permit.(Pollack Pines?)
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks Again,
Kevie Ray

Thanks Jimmy,
Did some research and will take your advice and leave it at Ice House Resort. My partner is just a little nervous about leaving the new truck unattended.

do you realize that you just advertised to the whole world that you will have an unattended tow rig parked there for the weekend?

Don't let this bother you, on any weekend there is "unattended tow rig"s parked there. In the past several years people in my group have parked there without incident to their tow rigs. Because of other incidents they are now only Robs customers though. But that's another thread!
