what size tires? do you use it on the street at all? I have 5.13s in my D60s with 38.5" tires, i like the combo. You could do a tcase doubler but i doubt you have the wheelbase for it in a cruiser. likewise you could do a Klune underdrive but again i doubt you have the wheelbase. I think your setup now is pretty much ideal and lower r&p is probably your best solution.

do the atlas take the r&p money put it towards the atlas--sams off road is selling them at the best price i have seen without doing a real intense search--$2095 for 4.3:1 and 1895 for 3.8&3.0:1--figure r&p at $1000 parts and labor double that and you are there--plus you can clock the atlas and gain ground clearance

well what i was trying to get at is that if it's driven on the street at all and the tires are big, the lower R&P will be advantageous on the trail and on the street. IMO 4.1s are too high for 35" or larger tires.

this was just covered in the thread -http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36499
there is some good info in here. If you are using a cruiser 3speed bellhousing, you can swap in a 420 cheap, and save a few inches for the Klune-V. This would be a little more $$ than the Atlas - probably btwn$2500 and $3000, but you would have 2:1 low, 4:1 low, or 8:1 low, instead of just 4.3:1 -
Good Luck!

203 reduction box with WMS 3.6 gears. Stronger and lower than a Klune 2.7 and infinitely stronger than a Klune 4.0.

I run 35 BFG mud I dont know if she would like to run a taller tire that is a good ?.I thank you, Atlas is cool but damn R&P is a good idea but would you have to change out the carriers for the difference in ratio.5.13 or higher?
