Ok, im sure there is a write up somewhere about this.
Anyone care to express their thoughts, good or bad? I have a 79 350. What will i need for the swap and around how much? Also is it very hard to get it working? What happens if i rebuild the engine with 400hp or so?

Way too much for a short post here but, I'll take a stab at a few things. You'll need a TBI intake or an adapter for a spread bore intake. The adapters can be found on TBI 454s, the TBI small blocks have the special TBI intakes. I'm told (no experience) that the TBI intakes require a few mods to the center holes (different angle) to fit pre TBI heads. If you want to make 400 hp, you'll need the 454 TBI unit, or at least an upgraded small block TBI. Obviously you'll need all the sensors, wiring and ECM.
Me, I did it the easy way. I found a donor with a nearly new crate motor and bought it complete with all accessories, wiring, ECM, etc. Pretty much just bolted it all in to convert Diesel to TBI 350.
Is it hard? What's your definition of "hard"? It also depends on your experience level. I had a few problems on mine simply due to the fact that this is my first EFI system and I was pretty clueless about the details. If you go this route, I highly recommend the book "How to tune and modify Chevrolet fuel injection" by Ben Watson. It helped me to see through much of the fog. The help of many patient members of CK5 (some are also here) was also invaluable.
