I was out looking at the rear of my YJ and i want to trim the back almost over the the tail gate but this would cut off the body mounts. Has any one relocated the body mounts? and where?

I just relocated the rearmost mounts on the CJ today. I'll throw up a pic at http://photos.yahoo.com/jjacobs22 in the tub surgery folder.

edit: I assume those are the mounts you're talking about. I think you could just drill some different holes in the bottom of the tub for the different location. Dunno, mine was so rusty you could stick your hand through were the mounts were supposed to bolt up- so I rebuilt all that with some 14ga 3x3 box tubing. Still need to drill holes to match, tub might be going back on tonight! :D

CJ Lagos has done this...he said he just drilled a 1/2" hole inline with the frame...I have chopped my mounts off but have not replaced them yet...heres a pic of what I have done:
