Anyone know the profle of regular ol' Dana-Spicer splines? angle, depth, etc etc? If you have a drawing in autocad or solid edge that would be sweet.

If you are interested in things like Involute Splines, Gears, Strengths of Materials, Bolts, Chains, Drill Bits, and everything else related to machinery, you need to get a copy of Machinery's Handbook. Buy it off eBay. They are going for about $20. That is a steal! $85 on amazon for a new one. This book it THE "bible" for machinists. I use it almost everyday. I will answer in extreme detail all your questions about Splines. I have the 22nd edition, and I think for what people here want, the earlier editions are better than the later ones. (like 22 and up) Thay are all worth having though. Later editions have information about CNC machining that most people aren't going to be interested in.

Hope that helps, I know you were asking for a specific answer for dana spicer splines. If they are a 30 degree pressure angle like Techguru73 said then you can look all that info up in machinery's handbook. There is 36 pages in the 22nd edition on splines! Sorry I cant be of more help.
