Howdy folks,
I recently picked up an 83 CJ7 (yes, a Jeep. Keep reading for the Chevy part) that the previous owner hacked a 350 into (See, there's the Chevy part). In the course of going over everything they did wrong or half-assed, I've decided to replace the 10si alternator to a cs144 (along with all the wiring). I was able to pick up a brand new 190 amp unit for a good price but I'm now having issues with bolting it up to the motor.
If I still had a decent shop at my disposal, I'd just fab up new ones and call it a day. However, now that I'm living in Suburbian Hell, the wife and neighbors cast a foul eye whenever I plug in the grinder.
Anyone done this and care to pass on where I can get the brackets? FYI, it's a long water pump with only an alternator and power steering for accesories. Alternator currently resides on the pass side, directly in front of the VC. I have no problems moving it to another location if need be.
Thanks for the help.
Dan
