: Coil Spring Spacers....

I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and wanting to add coil spacers for the lift i need and leave everything else stock. I have checked with Daystar products and found a 2 3/4" front and 1 3/4" rear coil spacer kit. Doesn't this sound odd?? Why the difference in spacer height for front and rear? Wouldn't this make the body look unbalanced? I would think NOT since this is a kit.....but what are your opinions?? Anyone have any experience with these kits?

I'd recommend asking this in the newb forum, possibly deleting this here.

seriosly dude these are best suited for the newb section. there is more to it then just adding the spacers, and the different lift is because the front is lower then the rear. duh.

It also might have to do with keeping the stock spring isolater in the front or not. ???

Dunno just an idea

Most TJ's sit 1" low in the front. I used to run a 1" spacer in front to level mine. It is probably fine.

Also this does belong in newbie, however everbody who complained w/o providing tech should also provide tech in the future.

Your going to need new shocks with those spacers, as you will have maxed out the travel of the stock ones, especially if you plan on offroading it.

My advice to you is to go with a Rubicon Express 2" Budget Boost lift. It has the spacers, shocks, and instructions to get you going.

FYI If you go over 3" you will need to get adjustable track bars, relocation bracket for the rear, or drill out the axle mount in the front (cheaper way) to center your axles. If you want 3+ inches of lift might as well just buy a full suspension lift. You will get better performance out of it as springs with large spacers have less up travel then springs themselves.

I hear stock TJ's do great with a 6" alu spacer :shaking:
