I need some pic's of front spring hangers,on the front springs, that you all have built.I'm trying to gain a couple extra inches and have a stronger than stock hanger.I have seen some but can't remember where.

The simple, clean looking, and strong answer is to steal a set of front hangers from the rear springs of a 73-87 K-20.

I tried a set of 1/2ton ones, they didn't work. They pushed the springs too far out.Does the K20 one have a narrower backspace? This is on my brothers 67 K20.

I think the K10 and K20 rear hangers were the same but I know the spring spacing was different in a 1 ton because you have to relocate the 1 ton 14bolt spring perches to use in a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. But I don't know if the difference is in the perches or the frame.

Here are the front ones I built for my trail rig. But I moved mine up for better clearance...

you say you want to gain a couple of inches. meaning drop the perches down? 4x4 box tube on the bottom of the frame rail (more or less diameter as required). make the width of the tube the exact width of the outside of the leaf spring bushings as per factory spec. Like 34" or something, don't feel like going outside with a tape or camera. then plate the end of the tube and extend said plate down past the bottom of the tube however tall you want the perch eye to be. use 5/16"+ plate. make a small plate to go on the inside of the spring that matches the part of the outside plate that hangs down below the tube.

something like this, only not so mall crawlerish. I have done 4x4, 2x4 and a few other tube diameters. this is only if you want to mess up your castor sp? and your approach clearance
but at the same time gain a little driveshaft angle

That more what I was thinking but obviously not that tall. He's got 6" springs 2" shackles and we're trying to get around 10" total. Thanks
