Rear Hub Seal Leak [Archive]

Can anyone remind me of a hub seal leak problem on a 14 bolt 10.5 corp rear axle? It may have been whether it was better to use a 2081 National open back or to use a closed back seal. The bearings used are set 38 and set 76 Timken. Thanx for any input. RJE

Inspect the spindle for a groove where the seal rides, you may have to put a speede sleeve on it.
