I have been told by more than one person that your not supposed to use a wide chain kit and a Tera 2 low kit in a 231 at the same time. Has anyone else been told this and if so can they shed some light on the subject. Is it the truth or is someone just feeding me BS? :shaking:
It's a 231 out of a 93 YJ with a 4.0L and AX15 if that helps at all.

if you want to pour that much money into a 231 why don't you go ahead and overhaul a newer lower geared tranny that is beefier. like the T18 or something. if you do that and decide to bump up to larger block power all it would usually take is an adapter

231 is a t-case (jeep NP231) not a tranny and the cash is already spent. I got a good deal on all the parts (widechain, 2 low, and 4 to 1). As for my tranny It's an ax15 and plenty strong for what I'm doing. When and if I go v8 I'll go auto anyway. Thanks for the info but not really the answer I'm looking for. :shaking:

Do be so quick to jump on the searchwaggon.... :rolleyes: I already found that one and read it. Did you read it??? That doesn't answer my question. I know you can put both of them in I already did that. My question is has anyone had any problems or heard of anyone having problems with both of them installed. I guess I will try to be a bit more clear next time I ask a question in here. :flipoff2:
