Anyone know how far a clutch slave cylinder should travel ? I am only getting 1" Any Suggetions? Trying to make this work for the sm420. Not enough throw.

Does your pedal 'pump up' ?


How much free travel do you have in your pedal?


Press the pedal down till you feel resistance, and then let up, and do it again quickly...does the pedal ' come up ' ?



How much free play is there at the slave cylinder to the clutch fork?


If your flywheel has been cut/resurfaced multiple times, you may need to make a longer acctuation rod in order to get the clutch to release properly, since the cluthc cover/pressure plate is further away from the throw out bearing....


Just throwing things out that I have run into in the past...
