I've seen some pretty good exo cage pics posted on this board. I know a lot of you make them yourself. does anyone sell them besides RRO? any info on who could make one for me or where I could get the specs on one? I have some ideas on making my own but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to.
-thanks

you might not care about my opinion but you should really think about whether or not you need an exo cage. seems to me like its just more weight and crap sticking out from the body to rub on stuff. I would think your time and money would be better spent on other stuff for the rig.

OKIE- That looks great  where did Mark have it done, did he do it himself? I'm thinking of an exo cage because if it is done right, less body damage (I've seen roll overs that didn't look too bad but the body was damaged in just such a way that it couldn't be driven without a lot of work on the trail), can use cage for pivot point with rocks and trees, engine bay protection, more interior room, better sturctural integrity.
My concerns are the weight of the cage and where the mounting points would be to ensure that it is functional and not just for looks.

I hope getting an exo is for being functional, and not just for looks   :barf:

It's Mark Quisenberry from www.extreme4wheelin.com. He ran Dirty Steve's trail at the Melt, with door bars and got no damage. He used 1 1/2" chromolly and did it him self. He used to freqent this board but is into to Quads now. Still runs the Sami and you can contact him at that website. He just loves doing this with passengers:

tube doesnt stick out far when you replace the fenders with it, I do like your rig though. mayve I'm just too lazy to ever want to build a cage just to protact sheet metal.
