Does anyone knows if the ECM from a 88' Pick up with a 305, will work on a 350 from the same year????? Do I need to change the prom???

The ECM will be the same....1227747

But as for the question about the prom, I'm not sure on that one (305 vs. 350).

I know you'll need to match auto tranny prom to auto tranny prom...etc.

The ECM is the same part number, 1227747. The prom will be different, however.

ok, here's what I recorded...

The module I have is a remanufactured one, with p/n 1227747 (seems to be common number)

Under the cap there are two DIPs. One I suspect is the PROM, but I recorded info on both for you.

#1 is a 16pin DIP. P/N on top is 16060837
#2 is a 24pin DIP. Info on top reads

DELCO
ACST
0018

Info on bottom reads

JT8(G)AD10/P

Hope this helps. If i'm looking in the wrong area, let me know. The module is on my bench and is easily accessible. This is my first Bowtie conversion so I don't mind exploring to learn some info. Also, lemme know if I recorded the info correctly, for future reference...

Thanks,
Chris

Ok the bottom of the chip has a code similiar to the one listed above but here it is, JT8(G)AG50/P (Just a note the 0 in the sequence is crossed out diagonally but other than that it reads exactly the same

I forgot to mention,
The chip # i gave you is similiar to the #2 chip you listed. And was replaced in my ecm a while ago with a jet chip, now if the prom is the one that controls air/ fuel and what not than that one is the prom , because the jet chip alters all that stuff. I have the original for my truck which came with a 350 and it has a different code than yours. If you find out you need it we could work something out cause i could go with out mine.
