: suspension gurus need your help
rochog 03-04-2002, 02:09 PM I am looking at putting in some coil springs on my s10 blazer, was wondering what would be good for this vich. I am going to use the rig for rocks and mudand a DD. I want to build it myself and was wondering what tube I should use for locating the axles. I like the Y set up for the front and rear with a track bar. I will be using d44s
front wt. 2500lb
rear wt. 2700lb
I was looking at a set up on rockkrawler for the TJ and it will RTI at 1400+. Will this work?
any held would be greatful thanks:smokin:
emsoffroad 03-04-2002, 02:52 PM I used a ford setup. used the EB front 44, 6" skyjacker springs, stock radius arms, f-150 coil buckets, and made an adjustable track bar. All in all it worked out real well. If you want more flex you can add a wristed arm. This works and flexs real nice. All action pics are at home. However you seem to be after more of 3 or 4 link setup. The ford EB setup went in real easy. It rides great, and really works.

LOL Keith's on a rampage today isn't he? :D
IMO, this falls into the category of "if you need to ask, you shouldn't be doing it."
Rochog, your question is just too wide open. To give you the answers you are looking for would require a "senior thesis" type disertation. I would suggest that you do some (a lot) research first and maybe enlist some experienced help. There's a LOT of forethought that must go into designing a completely new suspension.
cmk
rochog 03-04-2002, 04:00 PM I relize that a making a suspension takes a lot of fore thought. I am not mechanically challenged, I have recently done a straight axle conversion on same vehicle. My post was to get some advice.
As far as the Asshole that dosent like my Sn you can suck a dick pal. I have had that long before I came to this sight, as well as on my license. If you cant say anything that relates to my post shut the fuck up:flipoff2:
