Lift wise you can only get a 3" Suspension lift
www.Purenissan.com
www.chaosfab.com
www.4x4parts.com
You can also combine it with a body lift 2 or 3"
www.4x4parts.com
Lockers the only option right now is ARB air locker, or weld em.
I have a whole list of links an such for aftermarket parts on my site www.AlpineTribe.com.
Capable yep I have done many trails in Moab up to 4.5 and trails in Colorado up to 8. Click on the galleries section to see over 2000 wheeling and modification pics from all over.
I have 3" susp 2" body and running 33 12.50 16, replaced the bumpers, sliders, skid plates and lots of extras.

Definatly more than a 3in available now, there is a whole damn SAS kit. http://www.purenissan.com/solid_axle_swap2.htm
Also you can install the old 31spl detroits no spins into the 33spl 2000+ xterras http://nissan4wheelers.com/eve/ubb.x/a/tpc/f/3766078435/m/40210085911
The major week link in nissans is the factory steering, so eaither go with an aftermarket steering setup or SAS it, or else you will be replacing tie rod ends and centerlinks after every trip.

I've got an 03 I just got, only had 8,000 miles on it, almost 12,000 now. It is going to be a grocery getter for quite a while, I've got my Toyota for wheeling. It is a really nice rig though. I have had an 84 and 94 Nissan pick-ups and wheeled the piss out of both of them. My 94 had a Lock-rite in the rear. I suprised a few really well built Samurai's when I followed them all day, and actually one of them broke a front and rear axle and had to quit, while my Nissan had zero breakage.

Are you smoking crack again.. :p
You forgot about the SAS kit from Calmini. That is adjustable and will give you more than three inches.

Quite a few people offroad the Xterras. I bought one for my wife simply as a grocery getter, and then learned about their capabilities later. I have a Jeep to play with but her Xterra is just begging for some offroad action.
If you are interested, it's for sell....

Ooops I was typing and then hit enter when I had to go. Yes Calmini has the lift which definintely goes higher and MUCH more articulation.
Yep must have been on crack again, rock, cracked rock.

Get a suzuki samarui then or if you need the room, an old 4runner. Both are pretty capable and cheap to build.

how slow are they really, i am looking at buying a SC one but everybody says that they are really. i had a SC on my fullsize chevy and i loved it, does anybody offer a smaller pulley or anything else.
...does anybody offer a smaller pulley or anything else.
You can do alot to a 01-04 S/C (VG33ER) V6 engine now a days, as for an undersize pulley just go to Pulley Boys (http://www.pulleyboys.com/) they make a new bolt on pulley and a press on type too. The stock Nissan pulley is 2.65", you can go with a Pulley Boys 2.3" which will allow the roots based supercharger turbine rev to exceed 15K on the Eaton M-62 supercharger.
Several other manufacturers make modification for the S/C engine...larger throttle bodies, fuel injectors, cams, headers, and ECU modifications as well;

Get an old (pre 96) Pathfinder. Much better stock than an Xterra and you can get them fairly cheap these days.
