Does anyone know of a semitruck wrecking yard in the NW? The reason I ask is because I would like to get a steering column off of a semi to make into a front driveshaft. Anybody know how much the yards usually charge for these steering columns?

Here's what I would like to find:

chad those splines are no build to hand higher rpms. They would not be a good idea four they area that we go wheeling since most of the oppsticals require tire speed. Why are you worried about your drive shaft seperating? I dont think your truck flexs hard enough to need a long travel splines. Did'nt you turn up your pinion on your d44, and you are running dual cases so as your front end droops your drive line is not at a very high angle. I would get the d44 under your truck , and get your drive line lenthened to the correct lenth and try it first. If I remember correctly you have been moving your axle forward and not lenthening your driveshaft. On my toyota with allpro4in. 1.5 longer springs my drive line only compresses 1/2-3/4 of an in.
