I'm putting in one piece rear axles in my 78 cj5 but I can not get the rear hubs off. got the nut and pin out. I've tried pullers, chain and a comealong. Evan a bigger hammer. Any ideas.

300 horsepower, 37s, a loose nut, and dumping the clutch did it for me. But when I had to remove the hub manually PB blaster, heat and a BFH!!!

After some beating heating and some choice language, I just took the whole assembly out and put in the one peice axles. :shaking: What can I say. I'm sure you all will do it for me.

He is most likley trying to split the hubs to get the backing plate off to put it on the new one piece axels.

Just pull the hole thing out with out splitting the hub, then use a torckh to cut the outer race off. The backing plate will come right off then.
